Lard Dog releases "Hanukkah on Andromeda"
and fans rejoice!
Just in time for Hanukkah!Lard Dog & The Band of Shy’s hot new holiday release is an irreverent homage to the celebration of both Hanukkah and Andromeda, the galaxy that’s approximately 2.5 million light-years from Earth.
According to songwriter Steven Erdman, "Given everything going on in the world today, you can seriously start questioning what universe you’re actually living in. Without getting too grandiose about it, I’d like to think whatever universe you call home, maybe you can still embrace the goodness of the beautiful Hanukkah holiday and those who celebrate the Festival of Lights." The track marks Erdman’s first songwriting collaboration with Philadelphia-based guitarist/composer Nick Millevoi of Desertion Trio who also delivers the interstellar guitar work on the track. About the process, Millevoi said, "Working on this track with Lard Dog felt like receiving a transmission of peace and love straight from the cosmos." So whether you are Jewish, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Atheist, or none of the above—come partake in some high-frivolity spirit with "Hanukkah on Andromeda." |
